Huntleigh Apartments - Karori - New Zealand

This boutique retirement village offers a wonderful lifestyle opportunity in the heart of Karori. The village is situated just a short stroll from the two shopping malls, library, indoor heated swimming pool, bowling club and more. The apartments have been designed and constructed to provide safe quality living.

We currently one and two bedroom apartments available, complete with lounge and dining area, a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. The 'Village Centre' located on the ground floor contains a dining room, a study and a lounge with an open gas fireplace, and is a place where residents can relax, dine and socialise. In the study, there are communal computers with unlimited Internet access for all residents. Our apartments are attractive to residents who would like to be as independant as possible, but may or may not like access to helpful housekeeping and healthcare services.

There are a range of care services available to apartment residents; however these can be tailored to the needs of the individual. Services that are available include: daily meals, morning and afternoon teas, weekly/daily cleaning of the apartment, weekly/daily laundering, of sheets and towels, removal of household rubbish, caregiver and nursing support, assistance with outside appointments, medication monitoring and involvement in organised activities and outings.

Huntleigh Apartments is a secure facility: access to the village is gained with a resident swipe card and visitors to the village must use the electronic intercom system to gain access to the village after 6pm each evening. In addition a 24-hour emergency call button is in each apartment. Huntleigh Rest Home and Hospital is located behind Huntleigh Apartments, and is a separate establishment. Should a resident of Huntleigh Apartments need a higher more intensive level of care, they would have first priority for admission to the Rest Home and Hospital.
